Star Wars: Clone Wars
Star Wars: Clone Wars adds an unmissable and exciting new dimension to the Star Wars sagas with new characters, epic battles and intricate stories unveiling further insight into the hugely popular movies.

The series, co-produced with LucasFilm, tells of the valiant Jedi Knights' mission to lead the Republic's Clone Army against many new and ruthless adversaries across the galaxy. It features central characters such as Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padmé Amidala, Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker.

In the first 10 chapters, Obi-Wan Kenobi, serving as a general in the Army of the Republic, leads a team of elite clone troopers in a battle on the planet of Muunilinst. There, he encounters a tenacious bounty hunter named Durge and San Hill, a leader of the Separatist movement. Jedi Kit Fisto leads an aquatic assault on the Clone Army on the water planet of Mon Calamari and Count Dooku recruits Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress for a special mission - to assassinate Anakin Skywalker.

In chapters 11 to 20, the action continues as Anakin pursues Ventress to Yavin 4 after a fierce dogfight and eventually confronts her in a fearsome lightsaber battle. Meanwhile, Mace Windu leads his troops against an enormous seismic tank in a skirmish on the plains of Dantooine and Jedi Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee fought to protect the sacred Jedi caverns on the planet Ilum. Ultimately, the Jedi confront their greatest threat on the planet Hypori: General Grievous.

ANAKIN SKYWALKER
Anakin Skywalker is a Jedi Padawan, a student of the Jedi order. His master and instructor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, believes that Anakin could be the Chosen One to bring balance to the Force. More brash and impulsive than his master, Anakin is an excellent pilot with powerful Force abilities. Nevertheless, he still has much to learn. At the dawn of the Clone Wars, Anakin battled Count Dooku on the planet Geonosis and lost his right hand to Dooku's lightsaber. Anakin has since replaced his missing hand with a mechanical one.

MACE WINDU
Mace Windu is a senior member of the Jedi High Council and, like his fellow Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, holds the rank of General during the Clone Wars. He is quite possibly the most talented lightsaber fighter in the Jedi order, despite the fact that he generally believes in the power of words over action. Windu was a crucial player in the first battle of the Clone Wars on Geonosis. He is later assigned to lead a division of clone troopers on the remote planet of Dantooine.

OBI-WAN KENOBI
Together with his Padawan learner Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi has been chosen by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to lead the Clone Army of the Republic to capture the banking planet of Muunilinst. Not only is General Kenobi gifted with exceptional lightsaber skills, but he is also accomplished in the arts of diplomacy and military strategy. Over the years, Kenobi has had to be very patient with Anakin, often reminding him to exercise restraint.

YODA
Yoda is the oldest member of the Jedi High Council and is exceedingly wise in the ways of the Force. Despite his small size, Yoda is a powerful warrior to reckon with. Yoda's exact age is unknown, although it is upwards of 800 years. He calls many Jedi his students, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, who still relies on his master for council and guidance. Yoda participates in many of the crucial battles of the Clone Wars.

C-3PO & R2-D2
Two loyal droids currently in the service of Padme Amidala, C-3PO and R2-D2 are virtually inseparable. C-3PO, a fussy and fretful protocol droid, often gets himself into more trouble than he can handle. His constant companion, R2-D2, is a resourceful and adventurous astromech droid loaded with gadgets. R2-D2's speech, made up of electronic beeps and whistles, is easily understood by C-3PO, who speaks millions of languages.

CLONE TROOPERS
All clone soldiers were created from a single source, the bounty hunter Jango Fett, whose natural combat ability was used to create the perfect soldier. Though Mace Windu killed Jango Fett, his genetic code lives on within the thousands of clones built for the Republic's army. Clones have been engineered to grow at double the normal human rate, and their mental ability has been modified to be highly receptive to commands. Clad in head-to-toe body armor, clone troopers are divided into several sub-units based on their specialties.

PADME AMIDALA
Hailing from the planet Naboo, Padme Amidala serves on the Galactic Senate. Young, outspoken and brave, she has a noble air but is no stranger to combat. Her husband is Anakin Skywalker, whom she was forced to wed in secret. With the rise of the Separatist movement threatening the future of the Galactic Republic, Amidala's role as Senator has become all the more crucial. During the Clone Wars, her starship serves in the Republic's fleet.

SUPREME CHANCELLOR PALPATINE
Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has absolute authority over the Galactic Senate. Palpatine formerly served as a Senator from Naboo, and his climb to power was swift. In response to the Separatist threat, Palpatine ordered the use of a Clone Army of the Republic. Though his compassion for all people and commitment to the Republic are obvious, his true motives are difficult to determine.

COUNT DOOKU
Count Dooku is a very powerful Dark Jedi and, secretly, the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus. Formerly a student of Yoda's, Dooku left the Jedi Order before the start of the Clone Wars. He is now a leading figure in the Separatist movement, which seeks independence from the Republic. Dooku possesses a vast personal fortune and is one of the wealthiest men in the galaxy. He favors the use of a single curved-handle lightsaber, which he used to cut off Anakin Skywalker's hand at the very start of the Clone Wars.

ASAJJ VENTRESS
A fierce female warrior who has trained in the ways of the Sith, Asajj Ventress is a ruthless and cunning Dark Jedi. Count Dooku discovers her on the planet Rattatak, where she is participating in brutal gladiatorial games. Eager to prove herself to Dooku, Ventress accepts his challenge to assassinate Anakin Skywalker. Like Dooku, Ventress prefers the curved-handle lightsaber, but she utilizes a deadly double-saber attack style.

BATTLE DROIDS
The wealthy Trade Federation supplied Count Dooku and the Separatists with a vast army of droid soldiers. Cold, emotionless and incapable of independent thought, Battle Droids are valued for their unquestioning loyalty and efficiency in battle. Some Battle Droids have dedicated functions, and are color-coded to indicate their specialty. The advanced Super Battle Droid is more durable than its smaller counterpart, and Destroyer Droids are equipped with deflector shields.

DURGE
Little is known about the intimidating Durge, a bounty hunter whose identity is hidden behind thick, menacing armor. He employs a crew of mercenaries and assorted alien scum to serve as his gang of thugs. Durge is strong and immensely powerful, difficult to keep down even after suffering great injury. He clashes with General Obi-Wan Kenobi and a squad of clone troopers during the battle of Muunilinst.

SAN HILL
San Hill is the chairman of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, headquartered on Muunilinst. Because the IG Banking Clan provides vital funding to the Separatists, a large Droid Army has been stationed on Muunilinst to protect its resources. Even though he is a bit of a coward, Hill oversees this army. Possessing a purely financial view of the world, Hill intends to maximize his profits from the Clone Wars, joining whatever side will make him richest.

COUNT DOOKU
In his efforts to overturn the crumbling Republic, Count Dooku has slowly recruited a number of significant groups and commercial organizations to his cause, including the InterGalactic Banking Clan and the Trade Federation. Together, the combined financial and military might of these Separatist factions rivals that of the Republic itself. In response to the growing Separatist movement, the Galactic Senate decided to create a military and utilize the Clone Army of the Republic.
