The Life and Times of Jumiper Lee
When you’re a brainy eleven-year-old Asian American school kid with homework coming out of your ears, protecting the Earth from being over run by maniacal monsters is the last thing on your mind… unless you happen to be Juniper Lee.

Rarely a day goes by when our high-school heroine isn’t scrapping it out with street-skating Gremlins, department store trolls or five-ton, fire-breathing hamsters.

Of course, having the strength of ten men, the agility of Spiderman and the ability to cast some serious spells helps a lot but, even with all that, is June seriously going to be able to stop Earth from slipping into a dark chaotic monster-filled underworld? You'll have to tune into Cartoon Network to find out!

CHARACTERS

Juniper Lee
Life as the Te Xuan Ze can be frustrating, especially since Juniper has to keep her role a secret from almost everyone around her, including her parents. Juggling trouble-making monsters, after-school activities and social events would overwhelm most 11-year olds, but Juniper is far from average. Her super strength, knack for casting magical spells and guidance from her Ah-Mah help Juniper get through her hectic everyday life. Born with all the skills needed to keep the balance between the supernatural and human world, Juniper’s role as “The Protector” comes naturally. The real challenge for this reluctant hero is maintaining some sort of “normal” life for herself in Orchid Bay City.

Ray Ray
Ray Ray thinks battling crazy-looking monsters every day is the coolest thing ever, but unfortunately, he isn’t the Te Xuan Ze; that job went to his older sister. It is very unusual for more than one person to have the powers of the Te Xuan Ze, but somewhere along the way, some of Juniper’s powers were passed to him, too. Ray Ray does not share Juniper’s superhuman talents, but he can see and hear the supernatural world. To this eight-year-old, creatures and magic spells are the sweetest thing on Earth, making him an enthusiastic, and occasionally helpful ally in Juniper’s efforts.

Monroe
Monroe looks just as cute and furry as any other pug, but he is far more advanced than the average tail-chasing canine. He reads, is adept in both magic and history and speaks with a Scottish accent. It’s hard to believe that this four-legged curmudgeon has been helping generations of Te Xuan Ze, since all he seems to do is gripe. Sure, he’s crabby and makes a lot of wisecracks, but Monroe has proven over and over that he can be a reliable resource in times of trouble.

Ah-Mah
Ah-Mah is not only a grandmother, but also a trusted friend and teacher to Juniper. As “The Protector” before Juniper, Ah-Mah understands the annoying consequences that come with such a responsibility, like skipping out on friends at the last minute or not having enough time to get everything done. But her wisdom and experience allow her to let trivial things roll off of her back, an approach she tries to teach Juniper. Quite often, Juniper turns to Ah-Mah for a much-needed venting session, since she understands the demands of the job. Now that Juniper has taken on her old job, this retiree gets to travel and experience any adventure she chooses.

MAGICAL CREATURES
Despite popular belief, not all monsters are bad. Some don’t even realize that they are a nuisance or are wreaking havoc on the human world. And sometimes, it’s humans who disrupt the magical world. There are magical creatures that do plan out sinister plots, but Juniper doesn’t hesitate to show them who’s boss.

Speed Demon – A Speed Demon is the perfect example of a creature that intends no harm, but can simply get in the way. These hopped-up monsters zip around, knocking things over and causing disarray.

Khommen Ghetit – This mummy, a seemingly harmless display in Orchid Bay’s museum, has only one thing on his mind when he wakes up–making money. This rootin’ tootin’ bandaged sack of bones exploits the dead, denying them compensation as they toil away in his rib-and-waffles franchise.

Sandman – The Sandman is the lord of the sleep realm, but everyone calls him “Stephen.” He plans to rule the world by controlling people once they fall asleep and enter his world. And the only way for Juniper to get to him is through his world, which requires taking a little cat nap.

JUNIPER’S POSSE
Juniper’s posse is composed of a few close friends. However, none of them is close enough to know her secret identity. Juniper and her pals don’t necessarily have what it takes to be voted “most popular” or to be chosen team captain, but they do know a thing or two about editorials and audio visuals.

Jody – Jody is the group optimist, the rule follower, the “sweet” one. She makes perfect grades, eats her vegetables and would do anything to cheer up her pals.

Ophelia – Ophelia is the naysayer with an aversion to anything mainstream. Her clothes and musical tastes are hip, but never so hip that they would be considered trendy.

Roger – This excitable guy never seems to get things quite right at his attempts at “cool.” Regardless, Roger thinks he’s one rad dude, and Ray Ray thinks so, too.

Marcus –Marcus is one super-cool, super-cute guy, which is probably why Juniper has a major crush on him.
