 Cubix takes place in the year 2040 in Bubble Town where robots outnumber humans. Everyone here has a robot, made by leading robot manufacturer, RobixCorp, and each robot has its own unique duty. Although humans and robots have lived and worked in harmony here for years, lately there has been a puzzling outbreak of robot vs. robot battles that no one can quite explain.
At the centre of the action is a group of 13-year-old-robot buffs who call themselves the Botties. When a new whiz kid called Connor moves into town, he quickly earns the respect of the Botties when he repairs a previously unfixable robot called Cubix. This robot can transform into dozens of modes, from a helicopter, to a stealth plane, an earth-burrowing device, a jet ski, a motorbike or even a cobra.
13-year-old Connor is the new kid in Bubble Town. He's brave, resourceful and wants to learn everything he can about robots. After repairing Cubix - a robot that had never worked - the two share a great bond.
Cubix is an innocent and playful robot but he powers up like nobody’s business. His ability to transform into different weapons or vehicles is his most significant feature but he is also a genius-level robot. Though some robots have speech capability, Cubix speaks through his expressive eyes, which convey a variety of emotions. Cubix is happy being one of the Botties gang but he also recognizes his serious role as their guardian.
A tank on legs, this is one bad robot. Kolossal loves to beat up other robots, without much provocation. Kolossal really loathes Cubix and even though Cubix is stronger and much smarter, Kolossal is prepared to fight dirty.
Connor and Abby meet when he offers to fix her robot – and then proceeds to crash it. That makes Abby initially suspicious of Connor but she soon comes to depend on his kindness and insights into robots. Abby has her impulsive side and sometimes thinks Connor and the rest of the Botties should act faster. Her hero is Hela and Cubix has a tiny crush on her. Yuck!
Hela is Bubble Town's best 'robotist' by far. The 30-year- old has never lost her childlike enthusiasm for robots and her robot repair pit has become the Botties' hangout.
Hela's father, the legendary Nemo Of RobixCorp, built Cubix but mysteriously disappeared shortly afterwards.
In Bubble Town, everyone knows Lyla Rasca. She's a local celebrity, the gorgeous, sweet-voiced TV spokesperson for RobixCorps but is there another, darker side to her?
