“GREAT FIRES OF LONDON!” FIREMAN SAM™ GOES CGI WITH A 21ST CENTURY MAKE-OVER FOR SERIES SIX ONLY ON CARTOONITO

UK Premiere: From Monday 2nd March, everyday at 9am and 5pm on Cartoonito

Fireman Sam is back, this time in CGI with all new exciting adventures!

The much loved children’s television character Fireman Sam is back on our screens with an all new high-definition CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) series, set to make its UK premiere on Cartoonito from 2 March. The new CGI series retains the iconic charm of Fireman Sam whilst updating the show with an innovative new look and an array of new and exciting adventures, rescues and new coastal destinations beyond the original setting in Pontypandy. When Fireman Sam isn’t fighting fires you’ll find him manning the lifeboat or taking to the skies with the Mountain Rescue. Fires need to be put out, children need to be rescued from cliffs and handymen saved from all sorts of trouble! The introduction of new safety issues such as having your iPod on too loud, the dangers in shooting action scenes on a home video camera, leaving the iron on, BBQ fires, faulty Christmas lights and playing with fireworks all highlight the relevant safety issues of today. The new CGI series sees trusty fire engine Jupiter still on the roads alongside other life saving new modes of transport like Neptune, a life boat whose rescues include saving a baby whale.

Aimed at children aged 3-6 years, Fireman Sam made its UK television debut in 1986 and continues to be broadcast today in both English and Welsh. The original idea came from Dave Gingell and Dave Jones, two real life firemen. Series six introduces two new characters, Bronwyn who runs the Whole Fish Café and  new rescue dog Radar.

The animated series can be seen everyday and will premiere on 2nd March.
