Britain prepares to go barking mad at the Boomerang Pet Personality Awards 2009

Celebrity pooches belonging to Cheryl Cole, Nicole Richie and Her Majesty The Queen are nominated to win the ‘Most Admired Pet’ Award

Celebrities, children and their pets from across the UK will come together in London’s Regent’s Park on Sunday, 13th September, for the Boomerang Pet Personality Awards 2009, to be hosted by Donna Air and Georgie Thompson.

The awards – a free public event – will see Boomerang characters including Scooby Doo, Garfield, Bugs Bunny, Tweety Pie and The Pink Panther honour kids and their pets in ten categories including awards for the Bravest, Cutest, Most Talented, Most Unusual, Favourite Celebrity Pet and the Oddest Pet Couple, amongst other

Bringing a slice of quirky British countryside to the heart of London, the Boomerang Pet Personality Awards will centre around a ‘village green’ featuring a dog agility show from Britain’s Got Talent duo Kate & Gin, duck herding, ferret racing and a not-to-be-missed ‘sheeplechase’.  Also present will be vintage fairground rides and a designated family picnic area.

Celebrity pooches including Cheryl Cole’s Buster, Paris Hilton’s Tinkerbell, The Queen’s Corgis, Barack Obama’s Bo and Nicole Richie’s Foxxy Cleopatra have all be nominated in the Favourite Celebrity Pet Award category.
