Helllooo and welcome!’ to Steven Spielberg’s ‘Animaniacs’. Join Yakko, Wakko and sister Dot in rib tickling, side splitting adventures as they regularly escape from the Warner Brothers water tower to cause merriment and mayhem, pouncing on the pompous, baffling the bossy and righting wrongs!
Joining our stars in their shenanigans are a whole bunch of characters: including; Rita and Runt, a homeless cat and dog; Mindy, a precocious four year old girl and her pup Buttons; The Goodfeathers, three pigeons; Pinky and The Brain, two lab mice bent on world domination and Slappy Squirrel a sassy female cartoon star of the 1930’s and 40’s.
A dark secret until recently, they were created by an unknown animator who had crossed over the edge. Execs realising they had a potentially dangerous situation on their hands decided to protect the public from the character’s zany off the wall antics and banished the ‘Animaniacs’ to the tower where they have languished for the last six decades. Until now!
Each half-hour episode has an original score and is an exciting mix of cartoon shorts, musical numbers and comedy blackouts starring the Warner siblings and their pals.
She’s the Warner sister and the cutest of the bunch! As talkative as Yakko, and as wacky as Wakko, her brothers look out for her although she’s more than able to look after herself.
The youngest and craziest, with his tongue always hanging out and his wacky sack slung over his shoulders from which he can produce almost anything.
The tallest and the oldest Warner brother he may be, but he’s still just as wacky as the rest and he just can’t stop talking.
These guys are two lab mice interested in only two things, world domination and cheese. Pinky is the eternal optimist, a gangly happy go lucky character and a foil to the dome headed, highly intelligent Brain. Each week Brain comes up with a new plot to take over the world but there is always one fundamental flaw to his plans so it’s back to the ACME lab and the drawing board.
With a nod to movies ‘Good Fellas’ and ‘The Godfather’, The Goodfeathers’ follows the adventures of three pigeons, Bobby, Pesto and Squit. Squit narrates the episodes, Bobby is the resident leader and Mr Cool and Pesto is a pugnacious character always up for a bit of confrontation. They are all under the control of their boss The God Pigeon.
Slappy is an old time movie star who never fails to get a laugh with her cynical wit and world weary outlook on life. Skippy is her happy-go-lucky nephew.
They are a homeless cat and dog. Runt isn’t too bright - he thinks Rita is a dog. Rita is a streetwise cat who reckons herself one step ahead of everyone else.
Mindy is always getting herself into all sorts of scrapes and it is up to her dog Buttons to perform his super dog act and rescue her.
The Hip Hippos Flavia and Marita are a trendy couple so much in love that it’s almost enough to make you sick. They are totally introspective inward looking and unable to appreciate anyone else’s problems. Look out for them as they waltz of into the sunset.
Katie looks like a normal teenager. Until she gets agitated when all of a sudden she turns into a gruesome house wrecking monster. On recovering, she suffers from total amnesia.
He disguises himself as a famous human being and is then widely acclaimed as a great man except by one person who insists he is really a chicken and is run out of town for his troubles. Chicken is always eventually unmasked as a chicken and finds himself on the receiving end of the disgruntled townsfolk’s wrath.
The resident studio psychiatrist.
The Studio boss.
Plotz’s buxom secretary. When she or any other good looking women appears, Yakko and Wakko yell ‘hello nurse’.
